Just completed a feature about early season rainbows at the Watermark Fishery with Matt for Bauer Medias publication TROUT FISHERMAN. That should have a few pike anglers scratching their heads! I’m not giving up pike fishing for fly fishing as many are suggesting, just spreading myself round more as I just love all sorts of fishing. Getting ready now for another feature – fly fishing for pike!

ideal. thtas right up my street. been trying for ages to do that with varied sucess. had a couple of takes but lost them. think it my be my technique. we live and learn tho. tight lines

Shallow waters,which warm up quicker, they should be finished, deeper waters like reservoirs they are still at it. They were spawning on a reservoir where I trout fished yesterday.
Thanks for that mick, can you remember i told you about that res 5 mins from my house? well after about 6 blank days i finally caught a fish of 13lb not huge but it some how gave me so much joy it felt better than my pb 23lb.I will be giving the place alot more hard work as there was a 27lb fish caught not too long ago.
